Tips for deaf infant prereading skills development
1) Pick a book that has easy to see, single image each page.
2) Let your baby look at pictures before saying anything. It may take awhile before your baby will be ready to watch you signing.
3) Keep the image close to your face, allow the baby look at the picture then when s/he looks at you, s/he is ready.
4) Repeat same signs few times...

What I think of signs for blog and vlog, in response to Lenois’s vlog discussion today. Jon’s discussion abt signs
Let’s go beyond talking..bring ASL to deaf/hoh students in mainstreaming programs. It is a 7 minute long, I explained how we networked with school district and state people to work together. I also described how it went in our two-days ASL workshops for linguistics, bridging ASL and English and ASL assessment with 22 teachers in several mainstreaming programs in Denver area.
